Oracle Hospitality and Katanox Offer Direct Distribution Services

The integration of Oracle Hospitality and Katanox enables Oracle OPERA V5 on-prem and hosted users to directly connect to the B2B distribution platform, via a simple onboarding flow.

When we started building our platform to improve B2B hospitality distribution, we knew from the start that a relationship with Oracle Hospitality would be key. Always on the lookout for innovative solutions, we started building the integration to OPERA Hospitality Cloud Platform via the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP) platform only a year after the founding of Katanox.

Aiming at global and regional chains, we quickly envisioned that direct distribution, bypass switches and channel managers - and in some cases outdated CRSs - needed a deeper integration.

Oracle presented us with the right solution in the form of their brand new Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Distribution, allowing us to be one of the first direct distribution platforms enabling travel management companies to prolong and simplify the execution of their direct hotel contracting strategy.

With this integration, the Katanox platform is not only available for customers using OPERA Cloud, but to OPERA V5 on prem and hosted users as well. We are enabling global and regional hotel chains to build direct and transparent relationships with travel management companies.

An Ideal  Match

With Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Distribution, Oracle built a cloud-based platform for next-generation hotel channel management. Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Distribution was a great match to the Katanox platform, since it was created to enable hoteliers to distribute their rooms and rates to a variety of markets.  

This offered tremendous value to Katanox which aims to bring together hoteliers and travel management companies by reducing connectivity and payment costs in a transparent way. The transaction fee structure Oracle uses - no installation costs or monthly fees, only a fee per booking - connects near-seamlessly to the Katanox one transaction model.
